Vår Smoky Earl Grey använder robust Lapsang Souchong, som ger en komplex smak som passar utmärkt tillsammans med bergamottens blommiga, citrusaktiga toner & det delikata svarta teet från Sri Lanka.
I was nervous the smoke would overpower the bergamot, but the balance is spot on—floral and citrus up front with a deep, woodsy finish that lingers. The Sri Lankan black tea base gives it a smooth, full body that works great with a splash of milk in the afternoon.
That smoky Lapsang Souchong base gives this tea a depth I wasn’t expecting — the citrus bergamot cuts through just enough to keep it bright. Brewed it strong this morning and the cup lasted me half the day, which is rare for me.
The bergamot really shines against that smoky Lapsang base—it’s floral and citrusy but not at all sweet. I’ve been brewing it strong in the morning and the caffeine kick carries me through till lunch without any bitterness.
